About Constance R.
Constance R. Sherrod built her legal foundation at North Carolina Central University and DePaul College of Law. She earned a B.A. in political science in 2001 and completed her J.D. in 2005. Those years shaped an early interest in courtroom procedure and the documents that guide family and financial transitions.
She began practicing law in Illinois soon after law school. In 2006 she joined Scarpelli & Brady, LLC as a lawyer, handling matters that helped her sharpen practical skills in client counseling and case management. Over the next decade she moved into roles that placed greater emphasis on estate and probate work. In 2019 she became managing lawyer for The Probate Pro, a division of The Darren Findling Law Office, PLC, where her responsibilities included overseeing probate files and guiding families through court and administrative processes.
In 2021 she founded The Sherrod Law Office, Ltd. and took on the role of principal lawyer. The move to her own firm followed years of hands-on experience in probate and related areas. Her record shows steady progression from associate-level tasks to practice leadership. Colleagues and clients have noted her attention to procedural detail and steady handling of deadlines in probate administration.
Outside the office she maintains a steady presence in professional and community organizations. She has been a member of the Cook County Bar Association since 2012 and joined the Illinois State Bar Association in 2008. She is also a member of the Black Women Lawyers Association, a role she began in 2019. Since 2011 she has served on the Kennedy-Jordan Manor Board of Trustees, a position that places her at the intersection of community governance and legal oversight. Records also list an additional professional membership beginning in 2007.
Today she practices in Illinois as the principal of The Sherrod Law Office, Ltd. Her recent work continues to involve probate administration and related matters, advising clients on the procedural steps that follow a loss and helping manage estate affairs through court and administrative channels. Her current practice focuses on probate and estate administration matters in Illinois.
