About Clinton

Clinton DeWitt built a foundation in business before turning to the law. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Ouachita Baptist University in 2012. Three years later he received his J.D. from William H. Bowen School of Law, entering the profession at a moment when regional legal markets were shifting and demands on small firms were rising.

He holds membership in both the Alabama State Bar and the State Bar of Arkansas. Those dual memberships allow him to practice across state lines and to advise clients whose matters touch both jurisdictions. His legal work has been carried out through DeWitt Law, PC, a firm where he handles an array of client needs.

In practice he blends business training and legal skills. That combination informs how he evaluates contracts, negotiates resolutions and prepares cases for trial. He spends time drafting agreements and pleadings. He also prepares evidence and witnesses when a dispute proceeds to the courthouse. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and straightforward in client communication.

DeWitt’s background in business administration shapes his conversations with business owners and individual clients alike. He aims to explain legal choices in plain language and to map potential outcomes. The work often requires balancing legal analysis with practical concerns about costs, timing and desired results. He has developed routines to keep clients informed through each stage of a matter.

Licensure in both Arkansas and Alabama gives him practical reach. He moves between state procedures and understands how different rules of civil practice can affect strategy. That experience means he can advise on jurisdictional questions, procedural deadlines and the mechanics of resolving disputes in either state.

Outside of casework he participates in the bar communities in both states. He keeps current on changes in practice rules and state law developments that affect daily legal work. He also attends regional CLE programs and engages with peers to exchange perspectives on emerging issues.

Today he practices through DeWitt Law, PC. He is licensed in Arkansas and Alabama and handles matters that arise under the laws of those states.
