About Clifton Andrew Alexander

Clifton Andrew Alexander Dandison built his academic foundation in sports administration before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2011. He continued at the University of Louisville and completed a Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2013. After several years in graduate study, he enrolled at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2014 and left in 2017 with a Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law.

Those years in and around athletics shaped Dandison’s early approach to organization and regulation. The sports administration programs emphasized compliance, contract structures and institutional policy. He carried that perspective into law school, where he studied both domestic doctrine and comparative legal systems. The combination of practical administration training and a comparative legal diploma gave him a broad view of how rules operate in different settings.

Dandison’s legal career has taken him to the Carolinas. He is admitted to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina. He joined Cranfill Sumner LLP as a lawyer and has worked inside that firm’s practice environment. At Cranfill Sumner, he has been part of teams handling matters that arise under state statutes and common law. He has experience working with clients on procedural and substantive issues that turn on careful factual development and clear legal analysis.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and straightforward in court and client communications. He applies problem-solving habits learned in sports administration to case planning and negotiations. That background also informs his attention to regulatory frameworks and contractual language when clients seek practical solutions.

Outside his firm duties, Dandison maintains professional memberships and participates in local legal communities. He keeps current on changes in state law across the two jurisdictions where he is licensed. That ongoing engagement helps him anticipate procedural shifts and adjust strategy when state courts or legislatures alter governing rules.

Today Dandison practices at Cranfill Sumner LLP, where he works on matters arising under North Carolina and South Carolina law. He continues to draw on his combined training in sports administration and comparative law as he represents clients and manages the day-to-day demands of litigation and transactional work.
