About Clayton A.
Clayton A. Lingg earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University in 2012. Those academic years combined business training and legal study, shaping an approach that balances commercial context with legal analysis.
After law school Lingg began practicing in Pennsylvania. He built his early career handling matters that required both a grasp of business principles and courtroom procedure. Colleagues describe him as methodical. He prefers clarity over flourish and aims to translate complex legal issues into plain terms for clients.
Lingg is part of Mooney Law and works out of the firm’s Pennsylvania offices. He has been involved in cases and projects that touch on transactional concerns and contested matters, representing clients at different stages of dispute and resolution. He handles client interactions, drafts pleadings and agreements, and appears in hearings when necessary. He tends to combine practical business sense with attention to procedural detail.
His undergraduate training in business management informs his work. That background helps him place legal questions into commercial context, whether reviewing contracts or advising on business decisions that have legal implications. He approaches problems by mapping out risks and options, then communicating the practical consequences to those who need to make decisions.
Within the office, Lingg collaborates with teammates across disciplines. He works with more senior attorneys on complex matters and takes responsibility for client-facing tasks on smaller files. The work takes him to multiple firm locations in Pennsylvania, where he meets with clients, attends hearings and manages transactional work. He keeps a steady focus on deadlines and clear communication.
Outside of specific case work, Lingg follows developments in state law that affect businesses and litigants. He reads opinions, tracks statutory changes and integrates those developments into client advice. That habit helps him anticipate questions that arise in litigation and negotiation.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and serves clients through Mooney Law. He practices law in Pennsylvania at Mooney Law.
