About Cimarron

Cimarron Gilson has combined study in government, law and pastoral ministry into a career rooted in Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Governmental Studies from the University of Notre Dame (2002), a Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law (2007), and a second B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from the Mexican American Catholic College (2012). Those three threads—public affairs, formal legal training and ministry—shape how he approaches his work.

After completing law school, Gilson moved into practice in Texas and later established Gilson Law Office PLLC. He is licensed to practice in Texas and maintains membership in professional organizations. His path is not the straight, single-discipline arc more commonly seen in legal biographies. Instead it reflects an interest in how law intersects with community life and public institutions.

Colleagues describe him as practical and unshowy in his courtroom manner. He tends to favor clear explanation over legal flourishes. That approach can be traced to his dual undergraduate studies and the pastoral training he pursued later. Those experiences give him a habit of translating complex concepts into accessible language for clients and juries.

Gilson’s work at his firm covers a range of matters. He draws on his governmental studies background when matters touch on public policy or administrative law, and on his pastoral training when cases involve ethical questions or community organizations. He handles filings, negotiations and client counseling in cases that require both legal precision and an understanding of people’s broader circumstances.

Outside client work, he keeps a steady involvement in the professional community. He maintains association memberships and takes part in events that bring lawyers and civic leaders together. That engagement reflects an interest in the institutional side of law as much as in individual cases.

He operates Gilson Law Office PLLC in Texas and continues to practice there, handling a range of legal matters and serving clients across the region.
