About Christopher
Christopher Millar took an unconventional route into law. He studied chemical engineering at Arizona State University, earning a B.S. in 2014. He then turned to legal study at the University of Illinois College of Law, where he completed his J.D. in 2017. The combination of engineering and law has informed the way he approaches problems: methodically and detail-oriented.
After law school he moved into public service in Arizona. In 2018 he joined the Maricopa County Lawyer's Office as a deputy county lawyer. There he handled a variety of matters for county departments and advised local officials on legal questions. The job exposed him to the operational side of government and to the practical challenges agencies face when legal issues arise.
Millar shifted to criminal defense work in 2021 when he became the managing criminal defense lawyer at the Law Offices of Brandon White. In that role he oversaw defense strategy and case management, and worked directly with clients facing state charges. The experience deepened his familiarity with Arizona criminal procedure and courtroom practice.
In 2022 he founded Millar Law, P.L.L.C. and took on the role of managing lawyer. Starting his own firm gave him the chance to shape how legal services are delivered. He organizes his practice to handle both urgent case needs and longer-term defense strategies. His engineering background often shows up in his approach to a case, in the way he breaks complex facts into discrete issues and evaluates technical evidence.
Millar is a member of the Arizona State Bar and practices in the state’s courts. His work has centered on criminal defense, and he has represented clients at various stages of the criminal process. He also provides counsel to individuals dealing with ancillary legal questions that intersect with criminal matters.
Colleagues describe Millar as pragmatic and analytical in his courtroom preparation and client consultations. He prefers clear explanations and realistic assessments over grand promises. Outside of court, he manages the operations of his small firm and directs its intake and case planning.
He continues to lead Millar Law, P.L.L.C., representing clients in criminal defense matters in Arizona.
