About Christopher
Christopher Meyer studied at Harvard University, where he earned his B.A., and completed his J.D. at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1994. He finished law school during a period of rapid change in trial practice, then moved into clerkships that put him inside two different court systems. Those early years shaped how he approaches litigation and courtroom procedure.
He served as a law clerk to the Twentieth District Court in Colorado in 1997. The following year he took a clerkship with the Supreme Court of Montana. Those posts gave him direct exposure to written opinions, trial records and the mechanics of appellate review. They also provided an early chance to observe judges and litigators up close.
Meyer is admitted to practice in both Colorado and Montana. He has been active in professional organizations tied to trial advocacy for many years. He is a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, both since 2002. Since 2009 he has held membership with The National Trial Lawyers, Top 100 Trial Lawyers. These affiliations reflect steady engagement with the trial-bar community and continuing legal education activities common to trial practitioners.
He practices from CD MEYER LAW FIRM, PLLC. At the firm he handles litigation that reaches trial and, when appropriate, appeals. His background—Harvard undergraduate training, a Colorado law degree and state-court clerkships—feeds into his courtroom work. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and persistent in pursuit of the record, qualities that clerking and trial practice tend to cultivate.
Outside court dockets he has participated in association events and professional programs tied to civil litigation. That involvement has kept him current on procedural developments and trial techniques affecting cases in both states where he is licensed. His current practice emphasizes civil litigation and trial work in Colorado and Montana.
