About Christopher M
Christopher M Farish earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 2004. He entered the Texas legal community soon after, building a practice grounded in family law. His academic background set the stage for work that combines courtroom experience and alternative dispute methods.
He began his legal career as an associate at Quaid and Quaid, LLC in 2006. Over the next several years he handled contested matters, negotiated settlements and developed a practice that balanced litigation and cooperative resolution. He is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association, maintaining ties to the local legal community throughout his career.
In 2014 he became a partner at Quaid Farish, LLC. As a partner he carries the responsibilities common to a small firm partner — case development, client counseling and courtroom advocacy. He is board certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That certification reflects a concentration of practice in family law and recognition from the state-level specialty board.
Farish has also engaged in professional organizations that shape how family law cases are handled. He joined the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals in 2008 and served as its president from 2017 to 2019. He has been a member of the IACP board of directors since 2012. In 2019 he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an affiliation for lawyers who practice family law and are selected by their peers.
His work spans courtroom litigation and cooperative approaches to family disputes. He has represented clients in divorce, child custody and property division matters, and he participates in collaborative practice and settlement processes where appropriate. He combines case preparation for trial with efforts to resolve disputes outside the courtroom when the circumstances allow.
Today he practices at Quaid Farish, LLC in Texas. He continues to be active in local and national professional groups, and he maintains board certification in family law. He currently concentrates his practice on family law matters, including divorce, custody and related financial issues.
