About Christopher M.

Christopher M. Ault earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. He moved into private practice after graduation and built a practice that has spanned both state and federal courts. Early on he developed an interest in litigation and appellate work, choosing to pursue courtroom practice as a primary path.

By 2010 Ault had assumed a leadership role at the Ault Firm, P.C., where he serves as managing partner. In that position he supervises the firm’s legal work and day-to-day operations while continuing to handle his own cases. The title reflects more than administrative duties; it also signals responsibility for shaping litigation strategy, staffing matters, and client relationships.

Ault is admitted to practice in Utah and is authorized to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He has handled matters in both trial courts and on appeal, concentrating on procedural and substantive litigation issues that arise at those levels. His courtroom experience covers pretrial litigation, motions practice, and appellate briefing. He has experience arguing in federal court, and he prepares appeals for consideration before the Tenth Circuit when cases require it.

Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He breaks complex cases into discrete problems. He prepares witness examinations and motions with an eye toward persuasive presentation. At the same time he manages the business side of the firm, allocating resources and mentoring junior attorneys as cases develop.

Clients see him as a steady presence through long litigation cycles. He handles discovery disputes and trial preparation and remains involved when cases proceed to appeal. The firm’s work under his leadership includes defending and prosecuting contested matters in Utah courts and addressing legal questions that arise in federal litigation and appellate practice.

Outside the courtroom he keeps current on procedural developments that affect trial and appellate work. He adjusts litigation plans as rules and precedents evolve. In private practice since the mid-2000s, Ault combines case work and firm management in his role as managing partner of Ault Firm, P.C. He represents clients in Utah trial courts and in appeals before the Tenth Circuit, focusing his practice on litigation and appellate advocacy.
