Christopher F. Murray has spent more than two decades alternating between public service and private practice in Massachusetts. He established his own firm in 2007 after a string of positions that took him from law firm associate to a role in the county prosecutor’s office. The arc of his career shows steady movement into roles that required courtroom experience and client-facing responsibilities.
Murray began his legal career in private practice. In 2000 he worked as an associate at Jones & Milligan. Two years later he joined the Plymouth County District Lawyer’s office as an Assistant District Lawyer. That post placed him inside the county system early in his career. He returned to firm practice in 2006 as an associate at Regan Associates, Chartered, and then launched The Law Office of Christopher F. Murray in 2007 as principal and owner.
Those early years in the district lawyer’s office exposed him to courtroom procedure and case handling on tight timelines. He served on the front lines of county-level work and later applied that courtroom experience to matters in private practice. The record shows a practitioner comfortable in both institutional and solo-practice settings.
As an associate in two different firms, Murray handled matters that required coordination with clients and other counsel. The transition from associate to firm principal broadened his responsibilities. Running his own office has involved case management, client counseling, and oversight of litigation strategies. He has balanced day-to-day practice demands with the administrative duties that come from owning a small firm.
Murray is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He has been a member of the Plymouth District Bar Association since 2005 and continues that membership. Since founding his firm in 2007, Murray has maintained a private practice based in Massachusetts. He draws on experience from both the county prosecutor’s office and private firms. He concentrates his current practice on representing clients in Massachusetts and in matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
