About Christopher Dillingham
Christopher Dillingham II is the principal of Dillingham Law, PLLC. He practices in both state and federal arenas and represents clients in proceedings that move between trial courts and appellate review. His approach is straightforward. He emphasizes clear argument and careful preparation.
He began his academic journey in communication. He earned a B.A. in Communication from the University of Central Florida in 1996 and followed that with an M.A. in Communication at UCF in 1997. Years later he returned to school for law and completed a J.D. at Florida A&M University College of Law in 2012. That combination of communication training and legal education shapes how he constructs written briefs and prepares oral presentations.
After law school he entered private practice and eventually established Dillingham Law, PLLC. He is admitted to practice in Florida and is also admitted to appear before the Federal Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle matters in Florida courts as well as certain federal appeals. He has built a practice that moves between trial-level advocacy and appellate work, managing the transition from factual records to legal argument.
At the firm he handles litigation tasks that include drafting pleadings, arguing motions, and preparing appellate briefs. He works with clients to assemble records, distill complex information into concise points, and present those points to judges. He spends as much time on the written record as he does on courtroom strategy, believing that many appeals are won or lost before oral argument begins.
Colleagues describe his work as methodical and focused on the record. He favors plain language in filings and precise citation when the law is contested. He balances attention to detail with an eye toward the larger legal issues that will carry through an appeal. His practice is built around advising clients through each phase of litigation, from initial filings to final appellate decisions.
He maintains his practice through Dillingham Law, PLLC and regularly appears in matters before Florida courts and in proceedings before the Federal Circuit. His current practice centers on representing clients in matters before Florida courts and in proceedings before the Federal Circuit.
