About Christopher B.
Christopher B. Coughlin took a traditional path into law, starting with a business degree at Saint Anselm College and earning his J.D. from New England Law | Boston. His education laid a foundation in both practical and courtroom skills that would shape his career.
He began public service work in 2007 as an Assistant District Lawyer at the Cape & Islands District Lawyer s Office. That early prosecutorial experience put him in courtrooms frequently and offered steady exposure to trial procedure. By 2009 he had moved into private practice as a partner at Milligan Coughlin LLC. The partner role expanded his responsibilities and gave him experience handling a broader mix of cases and client matters.
In 2014 he returned to an educational role, serving as an instructor for the Trial Advocacy Workshop at Harvard Law School. The teaching stint underscored his courtroom experience and kept him engaged with trial techniques and advocacy training. The following year he established his own firm, serving as lawyer and owner of Coughlin Law Group, PC beginning in 2015. Running his own practice required him to balance case work with the management duties of a small firm.
Coughlin is admitted to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He remains active in the New Hampshire Bar Association, participating in the professional community there. Those dual admissions allow him to take cases across state lines and to appear in courts in both jurisdictions.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who spends much of his time in court. His background includes prosecutorial work, private partnership, teaching trial advocacy, and the everyday responsibilities of managing a firm. Those experiences inform how he approaches cases, from pretrial preparation to courtroom presentation.
He has combined courtroom work and firm management over the last decade while maintaining ties to legal education through occasional instruction and mentoring. He continues to run Coughlin Law Group, PC and practices in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, concentrating on trial work and courtroom advocacy.
