Christine A. McClane is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in both California and New York. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. McClane is the principal attorney at McClane Law Corporation, a law firm located in Chatsworth, California. She has been practicing law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Ms. McClane earned her Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in 1997. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music Performance and Psychology in 1993. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, graduating magna cum laude in 1996. During her time at Albany Law School, she was recognized with a Legal Writing Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) in 2000.
Ms. McClane concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and restraining orders, both domestic and civil. She represents individuals and families in matters involving domestic violence, adoption, paternity, and guardianship. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation and mediation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. McClane has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a family law firm in Los Angeles for several years. She has been a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association since 2001.
Ms. McClane is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Ventura County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She currently serves as an attorney volunteer mediator in the Northwest District of the Los Angeles Superior Court in Van Nuys, California. Ms. McClane has participated in pro bono services for victims of domestic violence since 2001. She is also a member of the Step Up Women's Network and The North Valley Chamber of Commerce. Ms. McClane is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
