About Christina M.
Christina M. Martell built her path to the law on a foundation in the liberal arts and a steady progression through courtroom and clinic work. She earned a B.A. in English from Indiana University Bloomington in 2011 and completed her J.D. at DePaul University College of Law in 2014. While at DePaul she augmented her studies with a certification in Child and Family Law.
Her early legal years were rooted in family law and court practice. During law school she served as a legal extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Domestic Relations Division in 2013, gaining first-hand exposure to custody, support, and family court procedures. She also worked as a law clerk at Windy City Family Law in 2012 and later at the law office of Johnathan N. Schatz in 2014, positions that reinforced her courtroom experience and case management skills.
After graduating, she took on a managerial role at the Chicago Law Institute in 2014, a post that combined administrative oversight with legal program work. She moved briefly into the private sector in 2015 as a network real estate specialist for Mobilitie, an experience that broadened her understanding of contract and property-related issues outside the family law context. By 2017 she established her own practice, launching The Law Office of Christina Martell as a sole practitioner.
Martell’s resume reflects both courtroom exposure and hands-on client work. Her certification in Child and Family Law from DePaul complements her time in the Domestic Relations Division and several clerkships. She holds memberships in the Chicago Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She has also volunteered at professional events, including the National Association of Women Judges Annual Conference in Los Angeles in October 2019.
Today she practices from The Law Office of Christina Martell in Illinois. Her work draws on experience in family court procedures, custody matters, support disputes and related domestic relations issues. She handles client matters directly through her firm and continues to remain active in local bar groups and community legal circles, concentrating her current practice on family and domestic relations work.
