About Christian

Christian Shiyou began his legal path in classrooms and courtrooms in Mississippi. He completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018, then earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2021. Those years shaped his early professional interests and gave him the credentials to begin practicing law in his home state.

He launched his legal practice the same year he graduated. In 2021 he opened Shiyou Law Office, PLLC and took on a range of matters typical for a small, newly formed firm. The move from law school to running a one-attorney office required him to handle both substantive legal work and the business side of practice. He learned to manage filings, client intake, courtroom appearances and the daily demands of client communication.

While building his practice, Shiyou obtained certification as a Guardian Ad Litem through The Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Supreme Court. That credential authorizes him to act on behalf of children and other parties in certain court proceedings. It also places him in a role that courts rely on for independent investigation and recommendations in family and juvenile matters. Serving as a Guardian Ad Litem has become a prominent part of his casework, requiring careful fact-finding and frequent courtroom reporting.

Shiyou is a member of The Mississippi Bar and remains active in the state’s legal community. He participates in local practice routines and follows developments in state law that affect his clients. His practice structure keeps him close to the cases he files and the people he represents. Colleagues and clients interact with him directly rather than through layers of staff, which shapes the way he handles matters day to day.

As of 2026 he continues to operate Shiyou Law Office, PLLC. He balances client representation, duties as an appointed Guardian Ad Litem and the administrative work of running a small firm. He focuses his practice on cases that involve child welfare and family court proceedings, where he serves as a Guardian Ad Litem and provides related legal services.
