About Christian P.
Christian P. Binder is an attorney who built his legal foundation at Santa Clara University. He earned a B.S. in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2012. Those years in Silicon Valley shaped his early outlook and provided a base for work that crosses state and federal lines.
Before he entered law school, Binder spent time in the private sector as a financial analyst intern at Lockheed Martin in 2008. That role exposed him to corporate processes and numerical analysis. He carried that practical experience into law school and then into practice, where attention to detail and procedural rigor matter.
After passing through law school, Binder established a practice centered in California. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and holds admissions in multiple federal forums, including the Northern, Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit. He appears in both state and federal dockets and manages matters that require navigation of overlapping procedural systems.
Professionally, Binder serves as Of Counsel at Binder Malter Harris & Rome-Banks LLP. His office is listed at Binder & Malter LLP. In that capacity he works on matters that come before state and federal courts across California. His role as Of Counsel positions him to advise on litigation strategy, case management and courtroom procedure while collaborating with colleagues on complex filings and hearings.
Binder maintains active ties to the local legal community. He holds membership in the State Bar of California and is a current member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association. He also belongs to the Congressman Don Edwards Bankruptcy Inns of Court, an organization that brings practitioners together to discuss practice standards and developments in bankruptcy law.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in approach and attentive to court practices. He balances courtroom work with client advising and the drafting of dispositive motions. He has experience handling matters that require appearances in California’s federal districts and at the appellate level in the Ninth Circuit.
Today he practices from the Binder & Malter LLP offices and continues to handle litigation matters in both state and federal courts. His current practice focuses on litigation in California state and federal courts.
