About Christi
Christi Gray built a legal foundation in two states and two disciplines. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1990. Three years later she received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law. Those early years set the stage for a career centered on family law, dispute resolution, and practical courtroom experience.
After law school Gray established herself in the circuits that handle family matters. She is admitted to practice in both Florida and Colorado. Over time she has taken on roles that extend beyond client representation. She has served on committees within the Florida Bar Family Law Section and held positions in the Tallahassee Bar Association and Tallahassee Women Lawyers, including service on the board of directors and on a mentoring committee. Her peers selected her as a Master Lawyer at the William H. Stafford American Inn of Court, reflecting a sustained presence in the local legal community.
Gray has also engaged in judicial selection and oversight work. She served on the Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee from 2014 to 2018. More recently she has been a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee since 2020 and served as its chair in 2021. She joined the Capital Collaborative Group in 2020 and remains an active member of that organization.
Her practice credentials emphasize alternative dispute resolution and family-centered processes. She is a Trained Collaborative Family Law Lawyer and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. The Second Circuit has appointed her as a Guardian ad Litem and as a Parenting Coordinator. Those roles require a mix of legal judgment, neutrality, and attention to the welfare of children and families.
Colleagues describe Gray as steady and prepared. She brings courtroom experience and mediation skills to cases that involve parenting, custody, and related financial issues. She participates in professional organizations such as the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and has contributed to local mentoring efforts aimed at younger attorneys.
Gray’s career spans committee work, dispute resolution training, and service in court-appointed roles. She maintains an active legal practice at Gray Law. She currently handles family law matters, mediation, collaborative law processes, guardianship work, and parenting coordination.
