About Chris
Chris Snyder built a legal path that began in the Upper Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Political Science from Concordia College–Moorhead in 2008. He then attended the University of North Dakota School of Law and received his J.D. in 2015.
Fresh out of law school, Snyder joined the Minnesota Judicial Branch as a law clerk in 2015. That year in chambers gave him a window into courtroom procedure and the judicial decision-making process. The clerkship also placed him on the front lines of legal research and opinion drafting, work that shaped his approach to case preparation and written advocacy.
By 2017 he was practising as a lawyer under the name Snyder Law. The move into private practice followed a short spell in the judiciary that left him familiar with how judges read briefs and manage dockets. At Snyder Law he has taken on matters that require courtroom presence and careful written work. He has handled filings and hearings in both state and federal settings.
Snyder is admitted to practice in Minnesota and North Dakota, and he is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. Those admissions allow him to carry cases across state lines and into the federal system when necessary. Colleagues say the combination of a clerkship background and early private practice experience gives him practical insight into litigation pacing and procedural requirements.
His education and early work in the judicial branch continue to inform the way he prepares cases and communicates with clients. He writes and argues with an eye toward how judges read legal documents, and that perspective traces back to his time in chambers. At Snyder Law he balances court appearances with the written work that often decides litigation outcomes.
Snyder lives and works in the region where he was educated and admitted to the bar. He currently practices at Snyder Law, representing clients in matters before courts in Minnesota and North Dakota and in the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota.
