About Chip
Chip Parker earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1992 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Florida in 1989. His legal education came at a time when bankruptcy law was evolving, and those formative years set a practical tone for his subsequent career. He moved quickly from classroom to courtroom and to private practice.
He began his legal career in 1992 at Fischette, Owen & Held, joining the firm as a newly minted attorney. Two years later he became a partner at Parker & DuFresne, a move that reflected an early willingness to take on responsibility and manage client matters. In 2020 he established Blue Bee Bankruptcy Law as sole shareholder, drawing on decades of prior practice to run a smaller, practice-focused firm.
Parker is licensed in more than one jurisdiction. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Utah, and he maintains admission to several federal district courts, including the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the District of Utah. Those admissions allow him to represent individuals and entities in both state and federal bankruptcy matters and related litigation across multiple venues.
His day-to-day work centers on bankruptcy practice and consumer-related insolvency matters. He handles Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, represents debtors in adversary proceedings, and appears in contested hearings when cases move into litigation. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court. He tends to prefer direct advocacy: clear pleadings, careful preparation for hearings, and attention to the procedural requirements that often determine outcomes in bankruptcy practice.
Outside the courtroom he stays involved in professional organizations. He holds memberships in the Federal Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association and local groups such as the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association. He also belongs to national organizations that focus on consumer law, including the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers. He serves as a barrister in the Florida Family Law Inns of Court, an affiliation that reflects engagement with the collegial and educational aspects of the bar.
Over the years Parker has moved from associate to partner to sole shareholder, a progression that traces a steady, practice-oriented career path. He maintains an office at Blue Bee Bankruptcy Law and continues to take cases in state and federal courts where he is admitted. He currently handles consumer bankruptcy cases and related matters at Blue Bee Bankruptcy Law.
