About Chelsey A.
Chelsey A. Christiansen earned her J.D. from Drexel University School of Law in 2014 after completing a B.S. in psychology at Pennsylvania State University in 2010. Her academic path combined an interest in human behavior with formal legal training. She arrived in law school with a clear interest in courtroom work and public-service lawyering, and she carried that interest into practical training opportunities early in her career.
Her first legal positions were hands-on and varied. In 2016 she worked as a law clerk at Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford, P.C., and that same year served as a certified legal intern at the Bucks County Pennsylvania Juvenile Unit. Those roles exposed her to case preparation, client interviews and the particular demands of juvenile matters. In 2017 she took a post as a judicial law clerk at the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. The clerkship offered daily immersion in court procedures, legal research and opinion drafting. She also worked in 2017 as a certified legal intern at Community Legal Services, gaining experience in client counseling and public-interest advocacy.
In 2019 Christiansen joined High Swartz LLP as a lawyer. Her time at the firm built on earlier courtroom and clerking experience. She has prepared briefs, managed discovery tasks, and appeared in court on various procedural matters. Colleagues describe her as methodical in legal research and attentive during client meetings. Her background in psychology informs how she approaches witness preparation and client communication.
Christiansen is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Those admissions allow her to handle matters across both states and to coordinate filings and appearances when cases cross state lines. Her training—spanning a private firm, a county court clerkship and public-interest internships—gives her a rounded perspective on litigation and client advocacy. She moves comfortably between drafting pleadings, analyzing case law and managing the steps that take a matter from intake to resolution.
Outside the office she keeps abreast of court developments and procedural changes that affect trial practice. She maintains professional memberships relevant to her work. She lives and practices in the region where she trained and clerked, and she continues to apply courtroom experience to her day-to-day practice. She currently practices law at High Swartz, handling matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
