About Charles L.
Charles L. Falgiatano built his legal foundation in Upstate New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Nazareth College, completing pre-law coursework and graduating in 1994. He went on to Syracuse University College of Law and received his J.D. in 1999. Those years shaped an interest in litigation and public service.
Early in his career he worked inside state government as an aide in the New York State Senate in 1995. That role offered a front-row view of how legislation and policy affect everyday disputes. After law school he moved into private practice and served as a law clerk at Harris Beach LLC in 2000, gaining exposure to civil procedures and courtroom practice.
Within a few years he entered private practice as a partner. In 2002 he became a partner at DeFrancisco & Falgiatano, LLP Personal Injury Lawyers. He and his colleagues handle personal injury matters and represent people who have been hurt in accidents. The firm’s name reflects its practice area; Falgiatano has spent much of his career on the plaintiff side of civil litigation.
Falgiatano is admitted to practice in New York and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. He holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the Onondaga County Bar Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has been a member of the American Association for Justice since 2006. Those affiliations keep him connected to trial lawyers and to developments in tort and trial practice.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and practical at the negotiating table. He brings courtroom experience and an understanding of litigation mechanics to each file. His background in the state senate and as a clerk gives him both procedural familiarity and an eye for strategy. He currently practices at DeFrancisco & Falgiatano, LLP, representing clients in personal injury matters.
