About Charles
Charles Adler earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois in 1973 and completed his law degree at The John Marshall Law School in 1977. He entered the legal profession at a time of change in Illinois courts and carried that early training into a long career in litigation. The dates on his academic record mark the start of a practice that would later include both trial and appellate work.
In 1989 Adler founded Adler Law Offices, LTD. He has served as the firm’s lawyer and managing figure since its founding. The firm operates out of Illinois and has handled matters in state and federal venues. Over the years he has guided cases from initial filings through motion practice and, when necessary, to trial and appeal stages.
Adler is admitted to practice in Illinois and has federal credentials as well. He is a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Those admissions allow him to pursue litigation at trial and to present appeals in the federal courts that cover much of the Midwest.
He is active in local and statewide legal organizations. Adler holds membership in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association. Those ties keep him connected to peers and to continuing legal education opportunities across the region.
Colleagues describe his courtroom approach as straightforward. He prepares pleadings, argues motions and takes cases before juries when the record requires it. He also handles briefing and oral argument in appellate settings. He continues to run Adler Law Offices, LTD and concentrates his practice on litigation in state and federal courts across Illinois.
