About Chari M.

Chari M. Alson has combined legal training and public health study into a career shaped by elder care, trusts and fiduciary matters. She earned a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2000 after completing a Master of Public Health at Boston University in 1997. Her undergraduate degree, a B.S. from Rutgers University, dates to 1991. Those credentials frame a professional profile that crosses legal, financial and health issues.

Early in her career she worked at nonprofit and private law practices. In 2003 she served as a staff lawyer at the Senior Law Center and handled matters tied to older adults’ legal needs. Two years later she joined Hepburn, Willcox, Hamilton & Putnam as an associate lawyer. In 2007 she moved into the financial services side of elder issues as a Senior Trust & Fiduciary Specialist and Elder Services Specialist at Wells Fargo – The Private Bank. That role added institutional trust work to her background.

She returned to private practice in the 2010s. In 2014 she practiced as a lawyer at The Law Office of Chari A. Maddren. Since 2018 she has been listed as a senior associate at Anderson Elder Law. Her resume shows a mix of litigation-adjacent legal work, fiduciary administration and client counseling on matters that often involve health care and financial planning.

Alson holds a certification as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor from the American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers. The credential reflects training on trust administration, fiduciary duties and financial aspects of estate work. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Chester County Bar Association, the Delaware County Bar Association, the Chester County Estate Planning Council, the Pennsylvania State Bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). These memberships place her in forums that address changes in elder law, estate planning practice and probate administration.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Alson brings both legal and institutional perspectives to cases involving older clients and fiduciary relationships. Her background at a national bank and in nonprofit elder law gives her experience handling trust administration, conservatorship and related planning documents. She currently practices at Anderson Elder Law and handles matters involving elder law, estate planning and trust administration.
