About Chandra
Chandra Betner-Gray earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2011. She went through a rigorous legal curriculum and completed the requirements for a law degree at a school known for its public service orientation. The diploma marked the end of formal study and the beginning of a professional career anchored in New Jersey’s courts and legal community.
Betner-Gray practices in New Jersey and holds memberships in several local and state bar organizations. She is an active member of the State Bar of New Jersey and participates in both the Gloucester County Bar Association and the Burlington County Bar Association. Those ties reflect a practice that is rooted in county-level court systems and in the professional networks that shape day-to-day practice for many attorneys in the state.
Her work life is organized around running a solo practice. As a solo lawyer, she manages the full cycle of client work: intake and counseling, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and handling appearances in court when matters proceed to hearing or trial. Running a solo practice requires handling administrative duties alongside substantive legal work, and that balance is a defining feature of her professional routine.
Membership in multiple bar associations keeps Betner-Gray connected to peers and local judges. County bar groups often provide regular programs on changes in local rules, procedural updates and practice resources; state bar membership connects practitioners to broader policy and ethics conversations. Through these organizations she remains engaged in discussions that affect how cases are handled in New Jersey courts.
Colleagues and clients see the solo-practitioner model as a direct line to counsel who manages cases personally from start to finish. Betner-Gray’s practice reflects that model: she maintains responsibility for the work her office does and for courtroom representation when required. She practices as a solo practitioner in New Jersey, handling the full range of client services typical in a one-lawyer office.
