About Catherine
Catherine Kyle studied political and liberal arts subjects at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning her B.A. in 1993. She continued her legal education at Indiana University Maurer School of Law and received her J.D. in 1996. Those years shaped her approach to the practice of law: practical, methodical and attentive to detail.
After law school she established her legal career in Indiana. Over the years she has worked on matters that require both litigation skill and careful client counseling. Her work has taken her through court filings, client meetings and negotiations. She has spent decades practicing under Indiana’s legal system and is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction.
Her background combines formal study and long practice. The law school curriculum gave her a grounding in procedure and substantive law, and the years since graduation have been spent applying that training to real cases. Colleagues describe her as steady under pressure, and clients have relied on her for practical guidance. She balances courtroom demands with client-facing work, preparing pleadings and settlement positions as circumstances require.
She has worked with a variety of clients, including individuals and businesses. That range has required attention to the commercial and personal consequences of legal choices. She has dealt with regulatory questions, contractual disputes and the transactional matters that often precede litigation. Her practice has involved drafting documents, advising on risk and, when necessary, taking disputes into formal proceedings.
Outside the immediate demands of a case, she remains engaged in the habits that lawyers rely on: careful legal research, clear writing and a measured approach to courtroom settings. Those routines have shaped how she manages matters at each stage, from initial intake through resolution. She keeps abreast of developments in Indiana law and applies that knowledge in counseling clients.
Today she is part of Woods Kyle, LLP, where she continues to practice law in Indiana. She focuses on serving clients across the state through a blend of litigation and advisory work.
