About Catherine Ann
Catherine Ann MacLachlan earned her J.D. from Birmingham School of Law in 2011. She entered the legal profession after law school and built a practice grounded in courtroom work and case management. Her early training took place in Alabama, where she has remained based throughout her career.
She launched The Law Office of Catherine A. MacLachlan, LLC in 2013. That step established her as a solo practitioner handling matters in state courts and in federal proceedings. Over the next several years she developed experience representing clients in trials and in appellate filings, appearing before judges and clerks across Alabama.
In 2018 she joined MACLACHLAN & CRAIG, LLC. At the firm she continued to handle litigation and appeals, extending her reach to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Her work has required familiarity with both state procedure and federal appellate rules. She has worked on filings, oral arguments and case strategy that require close attention to court deadlines and record preparation.
Throughout her career she has maintained active practice status in Alabama and has admitted cases before the Eleventh Circuit. Colleagues describe her as methodical and exacting in court filings. Clients have relied on her to manage procedural complexity and to present legal issues clearly in briefs and hearings. Her background in solo practice gave her experience in running a law office, while her later role at a multi-attorney firm added collaborative casework and joint trial preparation.
She currently practices with MACLACHLAN & CRAIG - ATTORNEYS AT LAW. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in state and federal courts.
