About Cassie N.

Cassie N. Hartpence began her legal path in southeast Georgia. She enrolled at Georgia Southern University in 2013 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies in 2017. That undergraduate program introduced her to the practical and procedural sides of the law and set the stage for law school.

She moved to Atlanta for further study. Hartpence earned her Juris Doctor from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in 2020. Those years in law school included classroom study, legal research, and opportunities to observe court proceedings. The timing of her graduation placed her among a cohort entering practice during a period of shifting courtroom procedures and remote hearings.

Hartpence was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2021. She and other recent admits have since built practices that balance courtroom work and client counseling. Hartpence joined Fleming Law PC as an associate attorney after admission. In that role she handles day-to-day case preparation, client interviews, and drafting court filings. Colleagues describe her as methodical in building case files and attentive in client meetings.

Her professional memberships reflect an active involvement in the Georgia legal community. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Savannah Bar Association, and the Savannah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, all since 2021. Those affiliations provide local networking and continuing legal education, and they keep her connected to developments in Georgia criminal procedure and trial practice.

Hartpence’s courtroom experience has come through routine and contested matters at the trial-court level. She has worked on arraignments, pretrial motions, and hearings, and she participates in plea discussions and case strategy sessions. Her practice requires familiarity with state rules of criminal procedure and local court customs. She also spends time preparing written submissions and researching legal issues for trial teams.

Clients who work with Hartpence encounter an attorney who bridges newer legal training with practical courtroom work. She practices under the license of the State Bar of Georgia and continues to build her caseload in Savannah and the surrounding counties. She currently works at Fleming Law PC and focuses her practice on criminal defense and related proceedings in Georgia.
