About Carman
Carman Malone built a legal path that began in Indiana classrooms and moved quickly into county courtrooms. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University in 2004 and received her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2008. Those years set the stage for early work on the prosecution side of the justice system.
Malone’s first post-law school roles put her inside two busy prosecutor’s offices. In 2009 she served as a deputy prosecuting lawyer in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. The following year she joined the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office as a deputy prosecutor. In those positions she handled criminal matters at the county level and gained hands-on experience in courtroom procedures, case preparation and client advocacy on behalf of the state.
In 2013 Malone left public prosecution and founded The Law Office of Carman L. Malone. She built the practice around the practical skills she had developed in county courts. The office handles criminal defense and related matters, applying courtroom experience to represent individuals in state matters. Malone’s move from prosecutor to private practice gave her a different vantage point on case strategy and client counseling.
Malone maintains ties to the local legal community through membership in the Marion County Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Those associations keep her connected to peers and to developments in Indiana law. Her background in both prosecution and defense shapes how she evaluates evidence and assesses the options available to clients.
Colleagues and acquaintances describe Malone as deliberate and methodical in case work. She approaches filings and hearings with attention to procedural detail and an eye toward practical resolutions. Trial preparation and courtroom experience remain important aspects of her practice, but she also manages negotiations and pretrial work when those avenues serve client interests.
Licensed to practice in Indiana, Malone has spent her professional life working in the state’s legal institutions. She continues to operate The Law Office of Carman L. Malone and handles criminal defense and related matters for clients across Indiana.
