About Carey
Carey Rose built a career that moves from classrooms to courtrooms. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Vermont in 1993 and completed her Juris Doctor at Golden Gate University School of Law in 1997. Those years framed an interest in litigation and public-facing legal work.
Rose began her professional practice immediately after law school as an associate at Hersh & Hersh in 1997. The role provided early courtroom exposure and client work that tested advocacy skills under pressure. Two years later she stepped into a partnership role at Affolter, Gannon and Rose. The move expanded her responsibilities. She balanced case strategy, client management, and the administrative demands that come with running a smaller practice.
Since establishing Rose Law Office, Rose has taken on the role of trial lawyer and owner. The office handles trial work and represents clients in contested matters. Her practice has continued the litigation thread of her early career. Courtroom experience has been a constant through the years.
Rose holds licenses to practice in California and Vermont and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She maintains memberships in professional organizations that connect litigators and trial attorneys. Rose has been a member of the American Association for Justice since 1997 and joined the Vermont Bar Association in 1999. Those affiliations reflect ongoing ties to the trial bar and to state-level legal networks.
Colleagues describe Rose as methodical in preparing cases and direct in courtroom presentation. She has experience managing both the legal and practical aspects of litigation. In smaller firm settings she handled client intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial work. At the partnership level she also managed case delegation and firm operations.
Rose’s career shows a steady progression from associate to partner to principal of her own practice. She has sustained involvement in professional groups while maintaining active admissions across multiple jurisdictions. The practice today centers on litigation and trial work conducted from Rose Law Office. She currently focuses her practice on litigation and courtroom representation.
