About Daniel
Daniel McCabe took a path from the classroom to the courthouse. He earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont in 2004, then turned to law and received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2009. Those years set a foundation in research and communication that have shaped his practice.
After law school McCabe joined Axelrod and Adler as an associate in 2009. He spent the early years of his career handling case preparation, motion practice and discovery in matters that required careful legal research and steady client communication. In 2015 he became a partner at Adler and McCabe. The move put him in a supervisory role when cases became more complex and when strategic decisions about litigation and settlement needed to be made.
McCabe is admitted to practice in both Vermont and New Hampshire. He has been a member of the Vermont Association for Justice since 2009. Those affiliations keep him connected to developments in state rules and practice, and to peers who handle trial and appellate work across the region. His day-to-day work combines courtroom experience, brief writing and negotiation. He approaches each file in a methodical way: gather facts, test theories in research, and present options so clients can make informed choices.
Colleagues describe McCabe as steady under pressure and precise in his legal writing. He has overseen teams on discovery-heavy matters and has taken lead roles in preparing witnesses and exhibits for trial settings. Outside of litigation tasks he manages client intake and supervises junior attorneys at the firm, bringing the practical skills from his earlier training in education into mentoring and client communication.
At Adler and McCabe, PLC, McCabe balances casework and firm responsibilities. He handles matters that require courtroom advocacy and substantive legal analysis across two states. He currently practices at Adler and McCabe, PLC, representing clients in Vermont and New Hampshire.
