About Calder B
Calder B Gabroy built a legal path that moves quickly from classroom to courtroom. He took the long view early, studying political science before turning to law. He graduated from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas with a B.S. in political science, then earned his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 2016.
His law school years included international dispute resolution study in Berlin and practical placements in Nevada government and private practice. In 2014 he served a summer externship at the Nevada Office of the Attorney General. He worked as a law clerk for Herman, Herman & Katz in 2015, gaining exposure to litigation practice. Those experiences fed into his first post‑graduate role in 2016 as an attorney at Malcolm P. LaVergne & Associates.
A year later he started his own firm. Calder B. Gabroy, Ltd. was established in 2017. He lists that firm as his primary office. Founding his own practice allowed him to shape the matters he pursued and the way he handled client work.
His professional training includes several certificates from programs run jointly by Tulane and the Institut für Anwaltsrecht der Humboldt‑Universität zu Berlin. They include advanced study and training in dispute resolution, mediation, and an introduction to international commercial arbitration. He has received recognitions from the State of Nevada and the Nevada Office of the Attorney General, and he is commissioned as a Notary Public by the Nevada Secretary of State.
Membership in professional organizations runs through his resume. He belongs to the Clark and Washoe County bar associations and holds memberships in the Nevada Justice Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He has been part of Phi Alpha Delta since his undergraduate days and served on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Nevada LGBT Section from 2017 to 2019. Locally, he is an associate of the Howard D. McKibben Inn of Court.
Those affiliations suggest an active role in civil justice and employment matters, though his practice touches other areas of litigation as well. He maintains ties to Nevada’s legal community while holding licensure in both Nevada and Louisiana. He handles case intake, representation and negotiation through his firm.
He continues to practice through Calder B. Gabroy, Ltd., where his work centers on litigation, dispute resolution, and representation of clients in matters that arise in Nevada and Louisiana.
