About Cagla

Cagla Basar builds a career around careful planning and steady legal counsel. She draws on a background that combines political science and law. Colleagues describe her as methodical; clients often appreciate the clear explanations she gives in meetings.

Basar completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Long Beach, earning a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations in 2007 after beginning college in 2003. She went on to law school at Southwestern Law School, where she earned her J.D. in 2012. Those years set the groundwork for a practice centered on estate matters and the duties that come with them.

After law school, Basar entered practice in California, where she is authorized to work. Her career has included roles that touch on the practical side of wealth transition and the legal mechanics that support it. She has participated in bar sections and local professional groups that focus on trusts and estates, learning from peers and contributing to discussions on probate procedure and fiduciary duties.

Basar is a member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section and the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California. Those affiliations reflect the areas of law she spends most of her time on. She handles estate planning matters, the administration of trusts, and probate work. She also assists fiduciaries who must balance financial, legal, and personal obligations during administration.

She practices under the name Basar Law. The office serves clients in matters that require drafting of wills and trusts, preparation of powers of attorney and advance health care directives, and guidance through court-supervised administrations when estates or conservatorships are involved. Her work involves both counseling clients before difficulties arise and stepping into more contested or complex matters when they do.

Her approach is practical. She seeks to make legal processes understandable. She explains options, potential outcomes and likely timelines. Basar remains active in local and state trusts and estates circles and continues to handle estate planning and administration matters for clients in California.

She currently practices estate planning, trust administration and probate matters at Basar Law.
