About Brian

Brian Chew earned his law degree from the University of Southern California in 1992, after beginning law study in 1989. He joined the State Bar of California the same year he graduated and has maintained his membership since. Those early years set the stage for a practice that centers on wills, trusts and the mechanics of estate administration.

He launched OC Wills and Trust Lawyer in 1992. Starting a firm so soon after passing the bar is a choice that shaped the rest of his career. Over the following decades he built a small practice that serves individuals and families across Orange County. The Huntington Beach and Irvine offices provide local points of contact for clients who want in-person meetings.

Chew's day-to-day work covers drafting wills and trust documents, advising on probate matters and guiding clients through the transfer of assets after death. He handles routine estate planning as well as the paperwork and court filings that arise when estates move into probate. The practice also assists clients in choosing the right kinds of trusts and explaining how those instruments affect taxes, guardianship and beneficiary designations.

Colleagues and clients working with him find a lawyer who emphasizes clear documents and practical solutions. He tends to break complex rules into plain language and lays out the steps people must take to keep an estate plan current. The office keeps regular hours in both Huntington Beach and Irvine, which helps clients meet with him at a neighborhood location rather than at a downtown courthouse.

Chew has remained active in the State Bar of California since his admission in 1992. He has navigated changes in probate law and in estate-tax rules as they have evolved over time. That continuity has made him a familiar name for local financial advisers, accountants and other lawyers who refer clients when an estate matter requires legal attention.

He continues to run OC Wills and Trust Lawyer from the firm’s Huntington Beach and Irvine offices. His current practice focuses on wills, trusts, probate administration and related estate planning matters.
