About Byron T.
Byron T. Farley practices law in Oregon and has built his career around courtroom work and dispute resolution. He entered law school after completing undergraduate studies in Arizona and has remained based in the Pacific Northwest since earning his law degree.
Farley earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona in 2007. He then attended Willamette University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2011. While at Willamette he also completed a certificate in alternative dispute resolution, training that has informed his approach to resolving client matters outside the courtroom as well as in it.
After law school, Farley became involved in the local legal community. He holds membership in the Marion County Bar Association and has been listed there since 2011. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and has practiced across the state’s courts and administrative fora.
Farley is a partner at Martinis & Farley. In that role he handles a range of matters that require both litigation skills and negotiated settlements. His ADR training complements his courtroom practice by giving him familiarity with mediation and arbitration procedures so he can advise clients about options beyond trial.
Colleagues describe him as someone who balances preparation for trial with practical steps aimed at resolving disputes when appropriate. He has worked on cases that required depositions, motion practice and courtroom hearings, and he brings that procedural experience to client meetings and settlement discussions. He also participates in local bar activities and stays connected to legal developments affecting Marion County and the broader Oregon bar.
Outside of casework, Farley’s professional background combines formal training and everyday practice. His academic credentials from the University of Arizona and Willamette University College of Law are paired with continuing engagement in the Marion County legal community. He currently practices law in Oregon as a partner at Martinis & Farley, where his practice centers on litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
