About Bryan William
Bryan William Shook grew up interested in how systems work and why people make certain choices. He took that interest to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.A. in criminology in 2003, and then to Widener University Commonwealth Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2006. His academic path combined social science and law, an early signal of a practice that blends litigation and dispute resolution.
After law school he entered practice in Pennsylvania. Over the years he has secured admission to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in federal appellate and high court settings, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds longstanding memberships in local and state bar organizations; his association records show involvement with the Dauphin County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and other professional groups since 2006.
Shook’s work spans courtroom litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He maintains a license as a Registered ADR Neutral through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, a credential that complements his appearance in federal and state courts. Colleagues describe his approach as pragmatic. He favors careful preparation and clear legal writing. He prefers to test positions in motion practice and, where suitable, move cases toward negotiated outcomes.
Throughout his career he has handled matters that required briefing and argument at the trial and appellate levels. His admissions to the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court mean he is equipped to file and argue appellate briefs when clients face questions beyond the trial court. He also assists clients in navigating procedural and evidentiary issues that arise in complex litigation.
Outside court filings and hearings, Shook participates in professional organizations tied to the practice of law in Pennsylvania. Records indicate continuous membership in the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries and other groups beginning in 2006. That steady involvement reflects a preference for staying current on procedural developments and court rules that affect daily practice.
He practices from Shook Legal, Ltd., where he handles litigation and dispute resolution matters for individuals and businesses. His office combines courtroom advocacy with neutral evaluation services when appropriate. He maintains practice activity in Pennsylvania and accepts matters that require appellate work or ADR services.
