About Bryan M.

Bryan M. Etter built his path from finance student to practicing lawyer in a few decisive steps. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Tulane University School of Law in 2012. Those years set the technical foundation for a legal career that has crossed several practice areas and roles.

Early in his career Etter worked in environments that exposed him to litigation, recovery work and entertainment matters. In 2011 he interned in the Office of the Lawyer General, Civil Recoveries Bureau. He spent time as an athlete representation intern at Fischman & Smith Sports, L.L.C., and in 2012 he served as a pro bono legal advocate for an entertainment law legal assistance project. That mix of placements gave him experience on both transactional and courtroom-adjacent tracks.

After law school he joined Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP as a lawyer in 2012. Over the next decade his résumé shows a string of small firm roles under the Wiley name and later at Wiley Etter Doyon, LLC. In 2014 he co-founded The Sports Esquires, LLC and contributed as a writer, signaling an ongoing interest in sports and entertainment matters alongside more traditional legal work. By 2022 he took a lawyer position at Legacy Law Partners, PLLC, where he is currently listed.

Etter holds membership in professional organizations across Connecticut and beyond. He is a member of the State Bar of Connecticut and has been active in the New Haven County Bar Association since 2017. Local engagement has included the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce and North Haven BNI, both of which count him as a member. He also served on the board of the Hamden/North Haven YMCA from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, he maintains a membership with WealthCounsel, an organization that provides resources for estate planning and related practice areas.

He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. His background combines early finance study with practical roles in recovery, entertainment and sports-related legal work, as well as traditional small-firm practice. The variety of positions on his résumé reflects a lawyer who has navigated different legal settings and client needs.

He currently practices at Legacy Law Partners, PLLC, handling legal matters for clients in New York and Connecticut.
