About Bridget M.
Bridget M. Finke began her legal career inside the appellate system, serving as a judicial clerk for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District III in 2004. That early experience placed her in the work of legal research and opinion drafting during a formative time. She saw how appellate rulings take shape and how written argument can influence outcomes.
After her clerkship she moved into private practice. In 2006 she joined Bakke Norman, S.C. as an associate. There she handled a range of matters typical of a small-to-mid-size firm, working on cases that required steadiness and attention to procedural detail. The work deepened her familiarity with Wisconsin court rules and the rhythms of litigation.
In 2016 she opened Valley Crossing Law, LLC and became its lawyer-owner. Building a solo firm shifted her daily routine from collaborating within a firm to directing a practice. The change meant overseeing client intake, managing case strategy, and running the administrative side of a legal business. Over time her work at Valley Crossing Law has reflected the variety of issues that come before state courts in Wisconsin.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in the office and direct in courtroom settings. She has experience preparing written pleadings, briefing appeals, and counseling clients on procedural steps. She approaches each matter by parsing statutes and precedent, then laying out the next procedural move. Her background in the Court of Appeals informs her view of how trial records and briefs will look on review.
She is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and has maintained a private practice presence since founding her firm. Clients who come to Valley Crossing Law can expect a lawyer who has worked on both sides of the bench: inside an appellate chambers and in the trenches of litigation. Her current practice centers on civil matters and appellate work in Wisconsin state courts.
