About Brian T.
Brian T. Kane built his legal foundation at the University of Denver, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. He continued his studies at Marquette University Law School, earning his J.D. in 2015. Those years set the stage for a steady, practical entry into the Wisconsin bar and local legal community.
After law school he was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2015. He joined the Brown County Bar Association a few years later, taking part in the local bar’s activities beginning in 2018. Membership in both organizations has kept him connected to developments in state law and local court practice.
Kane practices at Petit & Dommershausen, SC. Over the course of his time at the firm he has handled courtroom appearances and client advising. His work involves drafting pleadings, preparing for hearings, and managing case logistics. He approaches those tasks with an emphasis on practical problem solving and clear communication. He tends to favor straightforward strategies that address clients’ immediate needs and longer-term risks.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in the courtroom and attentive in client meetings. He has experience presenting arguments and handling procedural matters before judges in the region. In client counseling he aims to set realistic expectations while outlining possible outcomes. That blend of courtroom work and client-facing practice informs how he manages each case from intake to resolution.
Outside the office he participates in the professional life of Brown County’s legal community. His continuing involvement in the local bar association reflects an interest in staying current on practice trends and networking with fellow lawyers across different practice areas. He also maintains active membership in the State Bar of Wisconsin, which connects him to statewide resources and continuing legal education.
He currently practices at Petit & Dommershausen, SC, where his day-to-day work includes courtroom representation, client counseling and handling transactional matters for individuals and businesses.
