About Brian Scott

Brian Scott Watson followed a conventional path into the law, one marked by steady academic progress and early professional licensing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2012 and completed his J.D. at the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. Those years framed his entry into practice and shaped the legal knowledge he brought to his first roles after law school.

He became a member of the State Bar of Texas in 2017. Since then he has been admitted to practice in Texas and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Those credentials allowed him to take on matters at both the state and federal levels soon after leaving law school. He has worked in settings that require courtroom preparation, motion practice, and client counseling, handling the routine demands of litigation and court procedure.

Watson’s undergraduate study in criminal justice sits alongside his law degree. The combination gives him a grounding in substantive legal issues and an understanding of system-level processes. He applies that background when evaluating cases, preparing filings, and considering strategic options. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and attentive to procedural requirements; those traits are evident in work that moves through Texas courts and federal docketing systems.

Over the course of his practice he has registered for appearances in the Southern District of Texas and maintained his standing with the State Bar of Texas. He has experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and appearing at hearings. He handles matters that require familiarity with local court rules and federal practice standards, and he coordinates with clients on deadlines and documentation necessary for contested proceedings.

He is currently an attorney at Bethune, Dye, & Enright PLLC. At the firm he contributes to case work that reaches Texas trial courts and the federal court in the Southern District of Texas. His work centers on the procedural and substantive tasks that move cases forward through filing, discovery, and court appearances. He practices at Bethune, Dye, & Enright PLLC, handling matters in Texas courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
