About Brian
Brian Palacios built his legal foundation at the University of Florida and Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. He earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Florida in 2005 and later completed his J.D. at Shepard Broad Law Center in 2009. Those academic years set the stage for a career spent largely in Florida courtrooms.
He began his professional journey as an Assistant State Lawyer at the State Lawyer's Office in 2009. That role placed him in the daily grind of public-sector practice and exposed him to courtroom procedure early on. He later joined Roger Futerman & Associates as an associate in 2016, taking on responsibilities that broadened his exposure to litigation and case management.
In 2020 he opened his own firm, taking the title of president at Brian Palacios Law. Running a small firm has meant handling everything from client intake to trial preparation. It also meant translating courtroom experience into the administrative and strategic duties that come with leading a practice.
Membership in professional organizations has been a steady part of his career. He joined the Goldburg-Cacciatore Criminal Law American Inn of Court in 2010, an affiliation that connects him with attorneys and judges who work on criminal matters. He is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, a relationship he has maintained since 2020. Those memberships provide regular contact with peers and access to continuing legal education.
Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers direct work over fanfare. He has spent years operating inside Florida’s legal system, arguing motions and trying cases when necessary. The combination of public service early on and time in private practice has given him experience on both sides of criminal litigation and in related trial work.
He keeps his practice centered in Florida and continues to participate in local bar activities. Outside the courtroom he handles the administrative responsibilities of his firm while overseeing client strategy and courtroom preparation. He remains active in the legal community through the Inns of Court and the county bar association.
He currently concentrates his practice on criminal defense and trial representation in Florida.
