About Brian P.
Brian P. Battaglia has built a career at the intersection of health law and dispute resolution. He combines formal training in health law with courtroom admissions that include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. The result is a practice that moves between negotiation and litigation.
He earned his law degree from Drake University Law School. He later pursued graduate study in health law, completing an LL.M. at Loyola University Chicago. That additional credential informs much of his work advising clients in health-related matters and in procedures that touch on medical and regulatory issues.
Battaglia is a partner at Bleakley, Bavol, Denman & Grace. In that role he has handled matters that require both an understanding of complex regulatory frameworks and the ability to manage dispute resolution processes. He is admitted to practice in Florida and holds admission to practice before the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions allow him to represent clients at state, appellate and national levels when cases require it.
He serves as a Circuit, County and Family Mediator, a certification granted by the Florida Supreme Court. That credential colors his approach to cases. He often explores settlement options early and works to resolve disputes outside the courtroom when possible. At the same time, he prepares cases to be tried when resolution cannot be reached.
Locally, Battaglia maintains ties to the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He participates in the professional community there and remains engaged in matters affecting practice in the region. Colleagues describe him as someone who balances detailed legal analysis with practical case management.
Battaglia’s career spans transactional and adversarial matters where health law and dispute resolution overlap. He mentors younger attorneys at his firm and guides clients through procedures that range from mediation sessions to filings in federal appellate courts. His training in health law and his mediator certification shape the services he provides.
He currently practices at Bleakley, Bavol, Denman & Grace, where his work includes health law matters and mediation.
