About Brian
Brian Lenahan built his legal foundations in northeastern Pennsylvania. He earned a B.A. from the University of Scranton in 1984 and completed his J.D. at Villanova University School of Law in 1987. Those years set the stage for a long career in state and federal courts.
After law school he entered private practice and later joined Lenahan & Dempsey P.C. He has spent the bulk of his career at that firm, handling contested matters that require courtroom familiarity and procedural steadiness. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and practical at the conference table.
Lenahan is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania courts and sits on the rolls of several appellate and federal forums. His admissions include the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He appears regularly in state trial courts and in federal proceedings in the region.
He maintains a broad professional network. Current memberships include the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Lackawanna County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers. He is also listed with the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and serves on the Committee for Justice for All. Outside the office he sits on the Board of Trustees for the Scranton Public Library Committee, a role that ties him to civic and educational projects in his community.
In practice he manages litigation tasks that range from pretrial motion work to jury trials and appellate filings. His practice demands attention to procedural detail and an ability to move cases through the court system. He frequently coordinates with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to prepare matters for trial and appeal.
Lenahan’s work reflects a career spent primarily in litigation. He continues to practice at Lenahan & Dempsey P.C., handling trial and civil litigation in the state and federal courts where he is admitted.
