About Brian H.
Brian H. Crockett built a career that moves between courtrooms and military operations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2000 and returned to the same campus for a Juris Doctor, which he completed in 2007. The academic record sits alongside nearly a decade of military service, and both shaped his approach to litigation and case management.
Crockett’s early career combines legal training and public service. While in law school he worked as a residential assistant and served as a student representative for both Lexis/Nexis and Kaplan’s PMBR programs. His military roles date back to 2001 as a Psychological Operations Specialist in the United States Army Reserves and moved through various leadership positions including Platoon Leader, Supply and Service Officer, and Movement Control Commander. In 2011 he served as an Observer Controller Trainer in the Army Reserve, a role that required both judgment and on-the-ground management.
After law school he entered private practice and joined Newton, Jones & Spaeth as a lawyer in 2010. He also became involved in local and national bar activities. In 2014 he opened his own firm, Crockett Law P.C., where he remains the owner and principal attorney. The move to establish a firm followed several years practicing in firms and building a caseload in civil litigation and trial matters.
Crockett is licensed to practice in Illinois and Texas. He holds a certification in Personal Injury Trial Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential reflects courtroom experience in personal injury matters and an examination process administered by the state specialization board.
Professional affiliations are a steady part of his profile. He is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas since 2015 and belongs to the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association since 2014. His involvement with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy began in 2011. He has held memberships in the Houston Bar Foundation, Harris County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association since 2010, and he participated in several Illinois State Bar Association sections between 2009 and 2011.
Crockett’s practice combines trial work and civil litigation counsel. He draws on military leadership and classroom training when preparing cases. He currently practices at Crockett Law P.C., handling personal injury and related civil litigation matters in Texas and Illinois.
