About Brian Francis
Brian Francis Francese graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law before beginning a career rooted in criminal law. He built an early practice defending clients who lacked resources and learning how courtroom strategy and client advocacy intersect. The law school training set a technical foundation that he brought to public defense and prosecutor roles in New York.
Francese's first roles after law school included work as a staff lawyer for The Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County. There he handled a steady docket of misdemeanor and felony matters. He saw trials through from arraignment to sentencing and handled client counseling under pressure. That experience exposed him to the realities of indigent defense and courtroom management.
He then moved into the Bronx County District Lawyer's Office as an assistant district lawyer. That position put him across the aisle from many of the lawyers he had once defended. He prosecuted cases, worked with law enforcement, and learned prosecutorial procedures. That time enhanced his grasp of how prosecution builds a case and how evidence and procedure shape outcomes.
After public service, Francese spent time in private practice as an associate at McAloon & Friedman. The firm work broadened his exposure to different forms of criminal litigation and client expectations in the private bar. He later joined Marble Law as co-counsel handling DWI and criminal defense matters. Those roles deepened his familiarity with forensic issues common in DWI cases, including breath and blood testing, as well as field sobriety procedures.
Across these positions he developed a practice characterized by hands-on courtroom work and case preparation. He has tried cases in local courts and appeared on numerous pretrial and post-conviction matters. His career path has given him insight into both prosecution and defense strategies, an asset when evaluating cases or negotiating resolutions.
Francese is licensed to practice in New York and has continued practicing in the state since his early public service years. He now works at The Law Offices of Julie Rendelman, where he handles criminal defense matters that include DWI cases. He represents clients at hearings, trials, and plea negotiations. His current practice concentrates on defense work in New York courts.
