About Brian
Brian Fishman built a legal foundation in two different classrooms. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University in 1992 and a J.D. from Temple University in 1998. Those years set the stage for a career that moved between public service and private practice.
Soon after law school, Fishman took a job in public prosecution. In 2001 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Philadelphia District Lawyer s Office. That role exposed him to courtroom procedure and the daily realities of criminal cases. He later entered private practice as an associate at David S. Nenner & Associates in 2005, where he spent several years handling matters for individual clients. In 2013 he founded The Fishman Firm, LLC and has practiced as owner and lawyer since then.
Fishman is licensed to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His membership records show affiliation with the New Jersey State Bar beginning in 2002 and with Pennsylvania bar organizations beginning in 2005. He also holds memberships in the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Those associations reflect an ongoing engagement with matters that arise in state and local courts.
Over the course of his career, Fishman has moved between roles that require different perspectives. As a prosecutor he learned the mechanics of building a case and presenting evidence. As a private lawyer he has represented individuals facing criminal charges and other legal problems. He has trial experience and has managed cases at various stages, from early hearings through contested proceedings.
In running his own firm, Fishman handles matters that touch on criminal defense and related issues in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations and continues to practice through The Fishman Firm, LLC. His current practice centers on representing clients in criminal and related state-court matters.
