About Brian E.
Brian E. Simoneau earned his J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2001. He has built a practice in Massachusetts that intersects administrative law and matters that involve state agencies. His legal education provided the foundation for a career spent largely in the administrative and regulatory space.
Early in his career he developed ties to law enforcement organizations and associations that address legal and operational issues for agencies across the state. He has held an associate membership in the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association since 2010 and belongs to the Legal Officers Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, also since 2010. Those memberships have kept him in regular contact with municipal law enforcement leaders and their in-house counsel.
Simoneau is also connected to the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA). He holds the LEEDA Trilogy Award, a credential tied to leadership training for law enforcement executives. That background informs his work when matters touch on police policy, procedure, or administrative discipline, although his practice is not limited to those issues.
Over time he has concentrated on administrative hearings and regulatory processes, particularly those that take place before state licensing and oversight bodies. He has spent much of his professional life addressing disputes that arise in the course of agency decision-making. His experience includes representing clients in formal hearings, preparing appeals where appropriate, and advising on procedural rights in state administrative forums.
Simoneau’s work style is procedural and practical. He emphasizes preparation for hearings and a clear presentation of the record. He maintains professional relationships with court clerks, hearing officers, and municipal counsel. Those relationships help him know where deadlines and evidentiary rules are enforced strictly and where there is room to negotiate before a hearing.
He currently practices as Mass. RMV Lawyer and concentrates on matters that come before the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. He currently focuses his practice on matters before the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.
