About Brian C.
Brian C. Cloherty built his legal foundation in Boston. He earned his law degree from New England Law | Boston after completing undergraduate studies at Northeastern University. He arrived in the profession at a time when courtroom experience still defined many lawyers’ careers, and that practical orientation has marked his work ever since.
After finishing law school he joined the Law Office of John F. McCarty in 1986. That early period offered front-line exposure to client work and courtroom procedure. Two years later he took on a leadership role. In 1988 he became a partner at The Keches Law Group, P.C., a position he has held for decades.
His career trajectory is straightforward and steady. He moved from solo and small-firm practice into partnership and long-term firm service. Over the years he has taken on cases at different stages—preparation, motion practice, and appearances in court. He has also maintained ties to the professional community that supports trial advocacy and practice standards.
He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court. He remains active in bar circles. He holds memberships in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers. Those associations reflect an ongoing engagement with CLE, peer discussions, and developments in trial procedure and advocacy.
At The Keches Law Group, P.C. he has handled matters that require courtroom presence and detailed client representation. His role as partner has involved supervising litigation strategy and working directly with clients through the life of a case. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. He has been part of a firm known for litigious work and for representing clients in contested matters.
Across nearly four decades in practice he has combined trial-oriented association membership with consistent firm service. He practices in Massachusetts courts and appears in the U.S. District Court on behalf of clients. His current work is carried out at The Keches Law Group, P.C., where he represents clients in state and federal proceedings.
