About Brian Alan
Brian Alan Goldstein is a founding partner at Goldstein Greco, P.C., a law firm based in Buffalo, New York. He has been licensed to practice law in New York since 1996. The firm, located at 2354 Wehrle Drive, specializes in personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and health care law. Before his legal career, Dr. Goldstein earned his M.D. from Central Technical University and completed a five-year surgery residency, serving as Chief Resident at New York Methodist Hospital. He was board-certified by the American Board of Surgery from 1991 to 2002.
He also completed a three-year fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery, including heart transplantation. His medical experience encompasses general surgery, heart and lung surgery, trauma, orthopedic surgery, cancer surgery, urologic surgery, emergency care, intensive care, and diagnostic testing. Transitioning to law, Dr. Goldstein graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 1995. He was awarded the John N. Bennett Achievement Award for exemplifying the highest standards and dedication to the ideals of the law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996.
Dr. Goldstein has been recognized multiple times as a Super Lawyer, including selections in 2018 and from 2022 to 2025. Prior to founding Goldstein Greco, P.C., Dr. Goldstein led the Mass Tort and Medical Malpractice Divisions at Cellino & Barnes and Cellino Law, recovering hundreds of millions of dollars for clients nationwide. He is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third. Fourth Circuits, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Supreme Court. In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Goldstein has been involved in community service, serving on the Board of Trustees for Temple Sinai in Buffalo from 2005 to 2011 and as an executive board member of the Woman’s Law Center of Buffalo from 1995 to 1997.
