About Brett

Brett Freeman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Crime, Law, and Justice from Pennsylvania State University in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2007. He moved from the classroom to the courtroom soon after graduation and has practiced law in Pennsylvania for much of his career. His academic training combined criminal justice and legal study, which has informed the practical work he has taken on since entering the bar.

After law school, Freeman joined private practice and within a few years rose to partnership. In 2010 he became a partner at Sabatini Freeman, LLC. That role placed him in a small-firm environment where he handled a mix of client matters and courtroom responsibilities. His time as a partner shaped how he manages cases and supervises case preparation, discovery and advocacy.

In 2022 he established Freeman Law. The move to found his own firm reflected a desire for a different practice structure. At Freeman Law he continues to represent clients in matters arising under Pennsylvania law. The office serves local and regional clients and manages both pre-litigation work and court proceedings when necessary.

Freeman has been an active member of local and national organizations. Since 2010 he has held membership in the Lackawanna County Bar Association. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, an organization that brings together attorneys who represent consumers. Those memberships provide regular contact with other practitioners and access to continuing legal education and professional resources.

Colleagues describe Freeman as methodical in preparing cases. He emphasizes clear communication with clients and practical planning for each phase of a matter. In smaller offices he has taken on a range of responsibilities, from client intake and case strategy to courtroom advocacy and settlement negotiations. His work requires attention to procedural detail and the ability to explain legal options to people outside the legal system.

He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and maintains active professional memberships. He currently practices at Freeman Law, representing clients in matters governed by Pennsylvania law.
