About Brent S.
Brent S. Snyder earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Athens State University in 1993. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1998. Those academic years shaped a practical interest in how law intersects with everyday problems for people and businesses in Tennessee.
After law school Snyder entered private practice and by 2003 was listed as a lawyer at Mayer & Newton. He spent those early years developing courtroom experience and handling a range of civil matters. In 2011 he left to establish his own practice, founding the Law Office of Brent Snyder. The move to start his own firm reflected a desire for direct client contact and control over case strategy.
Snyder’s work has been anchored in Tennessee courts. He has maintained ties to local legal institutions and professional groups. He holds current memberships in the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers, organizations that focus on consumer protection and bankruptcy law. He is also a member of the Knoxville Bar Association. Those memberships have informed his practice and kept him connected to developments in consumer and bankruptcy law.
Colleagues describe Snyder as methodical and practical in approach. He emphasizes clear communication and straightforward legal analysis. That style shows up in client meetings and in how cases are prepared. Snyder handles matters that frequently require both negotiation and litigation. He has worked on consumer-related disputes and bankruptcy-related matters, among other civil issues.
Running his own firm has required wearing many hats. Snyder balances casework with the business responsibilities of a small practice. He manages client intake, drafts pleadings, negotiates settlements and represents clients in court when necessary. That steady involvement in all aspects of cases has helped him shape a practice that reflects his priorities: clarity, responsiveness and legal competence.
Members of the community and the bar regard Snyder as a familiar presence in regional legal circles. He continues to participate in professional organizations and attends events to stay current on changes in consumer and bankruptcy law. Today he practices under the name Brent S. Snyder Law and serves clients across Tennessee. His current practice focuses on consumer and bankruptcy matters in state courts.
